J. Herbin is the oldest ink company in the world. In the 17th century, at his shop on Rue des Fosses Saint-Germain in Paris, J. Herbin created the "Jewel of Inks" collection of inks. J. Herbin inks were created especially for King Louis XVI and were also used by Victor Hugo.

J. Herbin ink set dedicated to France's most famous writers. The set includes:

— Voltaire in the color Bleu candide,

— Madame de Staël in Vigne verte,

— Honoré de Balzac in Raisin violet,

— George Sand in Robe amber,

— and Victor Hugo in Rouge millésime.

J. Herbin uses only natural dyes with a neutral pH to produce its inks, which means that these inks are quick-drying and light-resistant.

Each bottle holds 10 ml of ink.
