BLACKWING Pencils Vol. 574
The latest edition of Blackwing 574 pencils is a tribute to the art of the indigenous peoples of North America and the 574 tribes who use it to emphasize their identity.
To design the Blackwing pencil, he collaborated with Chris Pappan, a Native American artist of Kaw, Osage, and Lakota descent. This collaboration resulted in a pencil with geometric patterns reminiscent of those found in Native American culture and art.
Each pencil features an orange and burgundy geometric pattern with gold details. The pencils are made of hard graphite and finished with a gold ferrule containing a burgundy eraser.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the pencils will be donated to the Cheyenne River Youth Project. The organization provides educational programs for Lakota youth on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation.
