Jerry Garcia is best known as the lead guitarist and vocalist for the Grateful Dead, but he was more than just a musician. The house at 710 Ashbury Street in San Francisco was a center of enlightenment and expression in the 1960s. It was this place that served as Jerry's primary source of inspiration for painting and the visual arts.
His paintings and sketches, like his music, swirl on the canvas, unexpectedly shifting directions and shapes. They show us that improvisation isn't just for the stage and artists, and that our ideas shouldn't be limited by the expectations of others.

The latest edition of the Blackwing 710 pencils was created as a tribute to this exceptional artist who inspires us to express our emotions and feelings and go beyond the limits set for us.

Each pencil features a fragment of Jerry's painting "Curves and Lines." Equipped with soft lead, they are ideal for drawing and songwriting. They are finished with an elegant black ferrule containing a green eraser. Traditionally, the pencils are packaged in a box, which, like each pencil, is decorated with a fragment of the painting "Curves and Lines."
