Fountain pens, contrary to appearances, are not as maintenance-free as ballpoint pens. It is important to remember to regularly clean fountain pens so that they serve us well for a long time and write as pleasantly as on the day of purchase.
How to clean a fountain pen?
Often, rinsing with water alone is enough, provided we do it regularly and use high-quality inks. Additionally, if we use red, brown, or purple inks, it is worth doing it more often due to the chemical composition of the dyes.
If you clean your pen rarely, or need to clean a dried-up fountain pen, we recommend purchasing special fluids that will help flush out dried ink.
