The limited edition Blackwing Volumes 7 pencils were created as a tribute to cartoons and their role in our lives. The first drawings, created on the walls of the Lascaux caves in what is now France, date back to the Paleolithic period. Even then, people felt the need to immortalize their stories through images that fired the imaginations of succeeding generations.

Drawings, from which animation later evolved, play a significant role in human life. Each of us has our favorite characters from books and fairy tales, and animated films for adult audiences enjoy enduring popularity.
While traditional filmmaking techniques were subject to limitations, animated films were limited only by the creators' imaginations. The Blackwing VOL.7 Limited Edition not only pays homage to cartoon animation, but is itself one.

The box contains 12 dark red pencils with bright graphic elements and colored dots. When placed in a specific order, the colored dots touching, and the included animated viewfinder with a picket fence reveals the running silhouette of Wile E. Coyote, Chuck Jones' famous character. This silhouette also adorns the pencil box.
Detailed instructions on how to arrange the pencils are presented in the video below.
The VOL.7 series pencils feature balanced graphite, prized by cartoonists. Their distinctive design is complemented by an orange eraser in a black barrel. Do you have a favorite cartoon character? Is there an animated story you particularly cherish? We welcome your comments.
