TACCIA Ukiyo-e Ink | Hokusai-bengara
- Description
Bengara – the rusty, brick red of iron oxide, present in Japanese architecture and painting for centuries – is one of eight colours in the TACCIA Ukiyo-e Ink | Katsushika Hokusai collection, inspired by the famous woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. The warm, earthy colour evokes the intensity of colours Hokusai used to capture the heat of summer, the glow of sunset, and the power of nature in his compositions.
