TACCIA Ukiyo-e Ink | Kuniyoshi-azuki
- Description
Azuki — a warm, dark red-brown the color of adzuki beans — is one of eight colors in the TACCIA Ukiyo-e Ink | Utagawa Kuniyoshi collection, inspired by the ukiyo-e woodblock prints of the Japanese master of the late Edo period. The deep, earthy color evokes the intensity and expressive power of Kuniyoshi — an artist who combined the brutal dynamism of battle scenes with the humor and fantasy of yokai worlds in his works.
