TACCIA Ukiyo-e Ink | Kuniyoshi-budounezu
- Description
Budounezu — a cool, muted violet with the shade of ripe grapes — is one of eight colors in the TACCIA Ukiyo-e Ink | Utagawa Kuniyoshi collection, inspired by the ukiyo-e woodblock prints of the Japanese master of the late Edo period. The subdued, noble hue evokes the darkness and mystery present in Kuniyoshi's works — an artist who readily used supernatural motifs, depicting them in bold, unexpected compositions.
