Midori 2027 Wall Calendar | Echizen Washi | Sushi

Japanese cuisine illustrated for the whole year

The Midori 2027 Echizen Washi “Sushi” wall calendar combines culinary inspiration with the charm of traditional Japanese paper. The 12 monthly pages feature illustrations of sushi shown in near-life-size. Its narrow, vertical scroll-like format is ideal for the kitchen, dining room, or above a desk, adding an appetizing touch to any interior.

Echizen Washi paper and meticulous screen printing

The pages are made from Echizen Washi paper with a distinctive texture and characteristic deckle edges. The cream background highlights the colors of the illustrations, which are applied using multicolor screen printing, while gold accents complete the composition. The delicate coloring of the space around the rice makes its whiteness stand out more clearly and reveals the fine details of the individual ingredients.

A new taste of Japan every month

The illustrations are accompanied by interesting facts about fish and seafood in Japanese and English. Each new month is therefore an opportunity to discover another motif and learn a culinary detail. The decorative braided cord allows the calendar to be hung immediately, and at the end of the year, you can cut out your favorite illustrations and frame them, creating a small gallery inspired by Japanese cuisine.
