Wancher Dream Fountain Pen | Tsugaru Anzu

Wancher Dream Tsugaru Anzu reveals an apricot color in the moment of transformation. A creamy beige base intertwines with lighter orange accents, reminiscent of a perfectly ripe fruit. The multi-layered pattern causes the pen's surface to change with the light, revealing ever-different combinations of warm tones.

Anzu means apricot in Japanese. Just as the fruit ripens and gains color, natural urushi lacquer subtly changes over time with use. However, the pen does not lose its character—its color deepens, and the finish becomes increasingly personal and unique.

The Art of Tsugaru Urushi

The pen is handcrafted by Tsugaru Urushi artisans from Aomori Prefecture, Japan. The Kara-nuri technique involves repeatedly applying and polishing layers of lacquer, creating a complex, irregular pattern composed of many shades. The process takes six to eight months, and each pen gains an individual color arrangement.
