Wancher Sekai Densho | Tigerwood — Hexagonal transforms the natural grain of solid wood into a geometric form that sits comfortably in the hand and won't roll off your desk. The six planes bring out the contrasting bands of the Tigerwood, while the softly rounded edges ensure the distinctive shape remains comfortable during long writing sessions.

Each piece is crafted from a different segment of wood, so the grain pattern, brown saturation, and darker streaks are always unique. Over time, the surface will show signs of daily use and develop an increasingly personal character. The appropriate density, warm texture, and palpable weight of the wood provide a sense of connection with a natural, solid object.

Hexagonal form

The Sekai Densho design deliberately moves away from a classic, cylindrical body. The six planes provide a stable grip and prevent the pen from rolling, while the rounded transitions between them adapt to the hand. As you rotate the pen, you can observe how the light highlights the shifting layers and lines of the Tigerwood.

Magnetic cap mechanism

Wancher's proprietary magnetic system allows for smooth removal and attachment of the cap without threading. Inside, there is an additional structure that reduces ink drying on the nib — a common problem with simpler magnetic caps. This ensures the pen is quickly ready to jot down an idea.
