minä perhonen is a brand that creates timeless, completely original apparel fabrics—specially dyed, embroidered, and woven to recreate hand-drawn patterns. Founded in 1995 by designer Akira Minagawa under the name minä, it was renamed minä perhonen in 2003. In Finnish, "minä" means "I," and "perhonen" means "butterfly," expressing the dream of creating designs as light and beautiful as the flutter of a butterfly's wing.

The "skyful (Yellow)" design—a new take on the iconic motif from 2014, created especially for the Hobonichi collection—comes in a simple, elegant zippered A5 version. Colorful, bright embroidered dots create a starry sky; two types of thread give the pattern a raised texture and a play of matte with shine.

Material and Details

• Fabric: Soft cotton material richly decorated with structural embroidery made of cotton, rayon, and polyester threads.
• Interior: PU in a vibrant, bright yellow color—full of energetic contrast to the subtle exterior embroidery.
• Two Ribbon Bookmarks: Made of unique ribbon, finished with small embroidered beads strung like pearls.

Functionality and Details

• Material: Cotton, rayon, polyester (exterior) / PU (interior) — durable and lightweight. Weight approx. 272 g.
  
• "Butterfly-Stopper" Closure: Double pen loops—by threading the pen clip or body through both loops, you prevent the cover from accidentally opening during transport. The holders accommodate writing instruments up to 13.5 mm in diameter.
