The series of covers from the Japanese brand Hobonichi is a combination of original design, solid binding and high-quality materials. The cover is inspired by Shin-Bijutsukai.
Bijutsukai and Shin Bijutsukai are books on craft design published during the Meiji period (1868–1912). Both contain beautiful designs created by various Japanese painters and designers. This collection of colorful woodblock print designs was published by Unsodo, an art publisher based in Kyoto and the only publisher of hand-printed woodblock books in Japan.
The artwork is printed on textured polyester fabric to bring out the warm feel of a pastel oil painting. This composition presents a bird's-eye view of a ferry with the impression of a blowing breeze.
The inside of the blue cover has nine convenient pockets, including card and business card pockets, as well as two large pockets that are perfect for storing tickets, receipts and everything important to us! The lining of the cover, which we find under the pockets, also features a sky motif with scattered shells. It has pen holders that will also serve as a closure. Just thread the pen once through both holders to make sure the cover does not open.
