The Pilot Capless Carbonesque is an edition of the legendary Capless (Vanishing Point), combining everyday practicality with the character of a collectible pen. The brass body, covered with a deep, multi-layered lacquer, creates patterns known in Japan as Kasuri — a subtle interplay of light and texture that makes each pen look different depending on the viewing angle.

One flick of the thumb — and the nib is ready to work. The patented click mechanism retracts it behind a precise flap that hermetically protects the ink from drying out. No cap to lose. No compromises.

The 18-karat, rhodium-plated nib ensures a soft, smooth ink flow — from the first stroke to the last.

The Capless first appeared on the market in Japan in 1963. The retractable version was created for the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games. In 1965, it won the High Tech Award. More than 60 years later, its design has not aged a day.
