Pilot Capless Decimo Fountain Pen | Red
- Description
Imagine a fountain pen that fits in your pocket like a ballpoint pen—and is just as convenient to use. The Pilot Capless Decimo is a slimmer, lighter version of the iconic Capless (Vanishing Point), designed for those who appreciate innovation and the highest writing culture.
With a flick of the wrist, the nib is ready for use. The patented push-button mechanism retracts it behind a precise flap that hermetically seals the ink to prevent it from drying out. No cap to lose. No compromises.
The aluminum barrel, covered in intense red lacquer, weighs only about 20 g—over 13 g less than the standard Capless. The slimmer diameter (12 mm) and more delicate clip result in a more ergonomic, subtle grip. Inside: an 18-karat rhodium-plated nib ensures a soft, smooth ink flow.
The Capless first hit the market in Japan in 1963. The retractable version was created for the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. In 1965, it won the High Tech Award. More than 60 years later, its design hasn't aged a day.
