The KUM Automatic AS2 is a sharpener designed for technicians, engineers, architects, and artists – anyone who values a long, perfectly sharp lead. Thanks to separate sharpening of the wood and graphite, each sharpening produces a perfect, repeatable result.

Why AS2?

How does it work?

Phase 1 – wood sharpening
The sharpener only sharpens the wood of the pencil until the lead touches the automatic stop. Further sharpening in this phase is impossible – the lead is now exposed to the correct length for the second phase.

Phase 2 – graphite shaping
The lead is precisely shaped into a perfect cone. The automatic stop prevents over-sharpening once the final effect is achieved.
