Hobonichi A5 Notebook | Lines

The notebook has 288 pages of incredibly thin, Japanese Tomoe River paper with 10 mm grid spacing.

The ruling design was developed by Professor Haruo Hibino and his team of researchers from BB STONE Design Psychology Unit, Inc., a venture capital company of the Faculty of Engineering at Chiba University.

The ruled paper is unique because the horizontal lines crossing the page are interrupted by short vertical lines that create a subtle grid.

The ruling design does not strain the eyes during long writing sessions and also allows for smooth writing of words and diagrams.

This paper, thanks to its properties, has been appreciated by fountain pen users because, despite its grammage (52g/m2), the ink does not bleed through to the other side.

The notebook has a hard paper cover with a reinforced spine, so it always lays flat, providing high writing comfort.
