Hobonichi 5-Year Techo 2027-2031 A6 Diary | Japanese Edition

One notebook—five years of life. The Hobonichi 5-Year Techo is a unique A6-sized diary that allows you to collect daily entries for a full five years in one place. The cover is made of natural material in a warm, brown shade with gold foil embossed details—a timeless design that doesn't tire with age. The texture of the cover resembles a dictionary: it feels natural in hand and is durable enough to be used without an additional cover. Thread stitching ensures it lies flat (180°).

The diary comes in a turquoise paper box, with an included test sheet to check how different pens perform on Tomoe River paper.

Page Layout

• Left side of the spread: date and day of the week for each of the 5 years—the rest of the space is completely blank. Each day offers 178 grid squares. Even one sentence is enough to create a full entry. Holidays and moon dates are not marked.
• Right side of the spread: completely blank space—for notes, inserts, or content you want to revisit over the years.
• Daily quotes: one quote per spread, carefully selected from the Hobonichi website archives (in Japanese).
• Grid: 3.7 mm—identical to the Hobonichi Techo Original, on cream paper with a subtle, dark gray grid, making your own entries stand out clearly.

Material and Details

• Paper: Iconic Tomoe River—incredibly thin, light, and durable. Thanks to its exceptionally smooth surface, it takes fountain pen ink beautifully without bleeding through to the other side. Thread-bound.
• Main material: PVC / paper.
• Dedicated covers are available for the diary:   — note: Hobonichi A6 covers are not compatible.
