The illustration on the card comes from a patent application filed in 1879. Franz Wagner's typewriter design, manufactured by the Underwood Typewriter Company, was the first widely available machine that allowed users to see the letters as they typed.

The center of the card is smooth so you can write your own personalized wishes.
