Clairefontaine gained its fame by being the first brand to create school notebooks in France.
The brand opened a paper factory in 1858 and began producing stationery products in 1890. Today, it is the first manufacturer in Europe to create its own paper for its products and a symbol of the highest quality. The brand honors tradition while simultaneously keeping up with the times and meeting the needs of today's users. The notebooks are made from premium, ivory-lined Clairefontaine paper. This recycled, acid-free paper weighs 90g/m² and is ideal for pencils, ballpoint pens, and fountain pens, as well as ink.
The notebook is bound in a kraft cover with a fabric-reinforced spine. The cover features the black Flying Spirit inscription and logo on the front of the notebook, and a drawing with a short message on the back.
The spine of the notebook is sewn and glued, so it can be folded flat in every place.
