Wancher Kaleido Fountain Pen | Green

Green in Twelve Shades

The Wancher Kaleido Green (Shisui) features a dodecagonal barrel and smooth transitions from turquoise to jade green. Polished surfaces showcase the acrylic’s marbled pattern, which varies slightly from one pen to another. This version was inspired by the landscape of the Kamo River, as described in the poetry of Rai Sanyō.

Form Instead of a Classic Cylinder

Kaleido was created to commemorate Wancher’s tenth anniversary. Its twelve edges evoke sunbeams, cedar trees, and the pillars of traditional Japanese architecture. The acrylic is hand-cut and polished multiple times to combine bold geometry with a smooth finish. The wide barrel is paired with a narrower grip section, making it comfortable for longer writing sessions.

Details for Everyday Writing

The pen is equipped with a gold-plated JoWo #6 steel nib, available in F and M sizes. The screw-on cap creates a tight seal to help prevent ink from drying out. The extended thread connecting the barrel to the grip section requires several turns when unscrewing the pen to refill it. You can use cartridges or an international-standard converter; both accessories are included.
