Wancher x Kuretake Kindai Maki-e Fountain Pen | Fukurou | Black

A Japanese Story in a Slender Form

The Wancher x Kuretake Fukurou Black is a fountain pen from the Maki-e Monogatari collection, in which an everyday object becomes a canvas for Japanese craftsmanship. The black version combines Kindai Maki-e decoration with a lightweight aluminum body and a fine F nib. It is ideal for short notes, journaling, and writing letters.

Kindai Maki-e and Kuretake Tradition

The series includes 18 designs inspired by Japanese culture, symbols, and folklore. The decorations are created by Kuretake artisans, while Wancher equips the pens with nibs and clips. The decoration is protected by a transparent urushi lacquer. The collection’s style also features references to Rimpa, a Japanese artistic tradition that uses motifs from nature.

Lightness Hidden in Metal

The body is formed from a single sheet of aluminum using deep-drawing technology. This means there is no seam to interrupt the decorated surface. Rounded ends and an 11 mm diameter give the pen its slender shape. The included converter allows you to use bottled ink, while the cartridges make it easy to fill the pen on the go.
