Tochigi leather is a unique material – vegetable-tanned using the pit tanning method for an extended period, then deeply impregnated with oils. This creates a pull-up effect: when bent or touched, the oils subtly shift, creating subtle lightening and a vibrant, unique pattern. Over time, the leather develops a deep patina and its own character.
